Strategic Objectives
To provide a comprehensive
laboratory service in all clinical laboratory disciplines to Royal Perth
Hospital and its affiliates
To provide a referral service
to other hospitals and organisations and act as a State referral
centre for specific specialist services
To continuously monitor
laboratory performance and the needs of internal and external
customers to identify areas for improvement
To be committed to education
and training in laboratory medicine and to foster personal development
of all staff members
To initiate research and
development in laboratory medicine and provide analytical and
intellectual support to the research of clinicians and other health
care workers from within and outside of the hospital
To provide a safe and
rewarding working environment for all staff members
To
operate a management structure which promotes active participation of
staff members at all levels
